About Our Organization

The Touchdown Club of Danvers is a non-profit organization that, through the efforts of its membership, raises money to cultivate the present and future student athletes of Danvers, as well as other organizations within the community.

Our purpose is to:
(1) promote and serve the physical and social welfare of the youth of Danvers, and
(2) to promote good fellowship and sociability among its members.

In short, we are a group of Dads that get together once a month to have fun while doing some good for our community – Dads having fun doing good.

Since 1959, our organization has raised and contributed over $250,000.00 for Scholarships, Varsity Letter Awards, High School and Youth Sport program support and special community projects.

Our members meet on the forth Tuesday of each month from September thru June for a dinner, social interaction and a special guest speaker. Some to the past guest speakers have included local sport celebrities and Legends Terry O'Reilly, Joe Bellino, Shawn McDonough, Eddie Andelman, Ray Borque, Johnny Pesky, Charlie Moore, Russ Francis, Bill Rogers, Mike Adams, Travis Roy, John Hannah, Steve Nelson, Bill Lee and many more. This past years guests have included Mike Lynch, Ken Hodge Sr. & Jr., Steve DeOssi, Matt Chmura, Sam Horn and one night in November, we honored and exchanged with several current Varsity Coaches from Danvers High School.

Since 1959, our organization has raised and contributed well over $250,000.00 for Scholarships, Varsity Letter Awards, High School and Youth Sport program support and special community projects.
